Who we are

The Lisbon Historical Society was founded Aug. 6, 1938, and is tax exempt as a Section 501(c)(3) organization. General membership meetings are held three times a year in April, July and October. The Board meets monthly.

Our purposes

The purposes of the Lisbon Historical Society are:

To encourage and promote the preservation of the history of the Village of Lisbon and its surrounding territory.

To collect, preserve and exhibit for public education and enjoyment artifacts and memorabilia which by their nature reflect and interpret the history of Lisbon and its citizens.

To these ends, the Society shall maintain and operate a public museum complex on East Washington Street, Lisbon, Columbiana County, OH.

New members are always welcome.
